Bon Acre Hamlet

The Project Site:

The project site is located in the Town of Sand Lake, on the north side of NYS Route 43, between the hamlets of West Sand Lake and Averill Park.   The flat to gently rolling site is naturally divided into three areas. The first, along Route 43, stretches northward for about 1,500 feet to a natural drainage swale. The second area covers the northern part of the property, which includes a flat, open field bordered by woods and wooded wetlands. The third field consists of the lands around the pond, which include a wooded rise to the north with an opening at the top of a small hill.  This area offers a southerly exposure, and views to the south of a pond.  A small field to the west of the pond and the surrounding woods are also part of the third field.
